Designed for non-destructive coating thickness measurement. This handheld units comes with a coating thickness gauge built in sensor adopting a magnetic induction principle. This unit strictly conforms to the following industrial standards: GB/T 4956, JB/T 8393, ISO2178 & ASTM B499.

The coating thick gauge is suitable for non-destructible, quick and precise coating thickness measurement. Exceptionally easy to use, this is an ideal instrument as a paint measuring tool for finishing industries, electroplating thickness testing, paint thickness gauge for ship and bridge building aircraft construction and the engineering and chemical industry.

The Coating Thickness gauge works on the magnetic-induction principle for measuring the thickness of non-magnetic coatings. This precision unit can measure coatings such as paint, enamel, rubber, aluminium, chrome, copper, tin etc on magnetic metal substrates. This instrument is suitable for measuring coatings on ferrous bases and steel, alloyed steels or hardened magnetic steels. This item is not suitable for austenitic or weak magnetic steels.
