A stylus for use on coordinate measuring machines (CMM) or systems like machine tool probes. Perfect for use with CNC Touch Probes on machine shop machine centres, lathes and inspection & digitising machines.Straight styli are used to detect easily reachable features on the measured surface. Ruby, as the hardest of all stylus tip materials, is the perfect choice for most applications. Carbon Fibre is the ultimate choice Styli components. It is extremely thermally stable  and its weight to rigidity ratio makes a carbon fibre based Styli extremely high accuracy. Styli Extensions are necessary fo deep cavity features or where there are close quarter access limitations. It is important to choose high performance, high stiffness extensions whereby the probing distance is increased.
