The Parallel Set is a precision hardened & ground set of matched, machining parallels for use in precise machining operations. The parallels are hardened to 55-62HRC and made from a technical grade, high quality carbon steel. 

Parallels are supplied wrapped in an anti-corrosion paper for storage and transit protection.

This is a highly precise machined component made by enginneer's, for engineer's. Good manufacturing practise should be followed in terms of cleanliness, ground surface treatments and safe storage. In order to maintain this components Ultra Precision, strict GMP should be adherred to.

All Parallel Sets are 125mm long by 8mm wide in the following heights...

11mm (x4), 16mm(x4) , 21mm(x4), 26mm(x4), 31mm(x4) & 36mm(x4)

Specifications...

• Featuring a Steel Hardness of HRC55~62.
• Dimensionally accurate to 0.01mm.
• Parallelism precision as little as 5 microns or 0.005mm (0.00019685")
• Parallels are individually engraved with dimensions markings.

• Selected Set of high precision machinist precision parallels.
• Supplied in a storage case (typically wooden).

Notes...

• Images shown may not represent the size, case quantity etc you have selected.
• Parallels may arrive with a layer of oil on the surface. This is usual and is to prevent surface corrosion during storage and transit. Parallels should be wiped clean with a soft clean cloth before use  for maximum performance and accuracy.
