Description

About our Tool Setter for CNC Machining Centers..

The world-class, state-of-the-art EMG Nano 1 LTS features an optical trigger switch that offers a repeatability accuracy of 500 nanometers, or 0.5 microns.

The Nano1 is technically an OTS & and LTS Tool Setter that uses an optical switch to perform a Length Tool Setting function. The Nano1 transfers the signals by cable and features 5mm of travel with a built in overtravel protection safety circuit. This tool setter has an indicator light to show its operational status and utilises a 6 core cable.

The EMG Nano 1 adopts original micro resistance technology guaranteeing excellent durability for a pro-longed life and is IP68 Rated. The EMGNano1 is an industrial micro tool setter for cnc machining centers, particularly where micro and needle cutting tools are used, or the cnc machine space is limited so a compact solution is preferable.

The INVICTUS Series in detail

The Invictus Series of Tool Setters for CNC machining centers are not solely designed to measure tools. Broken tools can prove extremely costly to machine shops if they are not spotted in time to prevent further damage to tools, components or simply increased downtime. The costs involved in tool breakage can be minimised with a tool setter for cnc by incorporating tool breakage checks into an automated routine, through the use of cnc controller macro programming. Machining accuracy and surface finish quality can be improved dramatically with the regular use of a tool setter in your process steps. Tool wear has an effect on these customer valued factors and if steps are not taken to compensate for this quality from part to part, batch to batch can vary significantly.

By using a cnc tool setter regularly in your machining processs, it can also be programmed to adjust for cutter tool wear. Often referred to as cutter compensation, the process involves taking measurements of cutting tools at pre-defined intervals to make adjustments in the CAM program to adjust for tool diameter or height wear. In addition to all these functions, it is also possible with calibrated tool holders, to use a touch off setter to make checks or adjustments for thermal variation compensation.
